WINNERS

It is already very late so I am going to make this very quick. The two winners of the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway are
Kelly

and Laura

Congratulations!!!!

I have emailed both to let them know that they won.

There were so many comments ... I appreciated each and every single one of them!

And for all others that might be interested in my buttons:

To all orders that are placed until the 15th of June I will add a free toadstool button or toadstool sewing pin - your choice.

You can order buttons via my store Cutelicious - just send me a message and tell me what you like if it is not in the store right now.
Or by emailing me directly

cutelicious-shop [at] web [dot] de

I do realize the postage is quite high just to order some buttons. I am already only charging the actual postage price - nothing for wrapping or anything. If you like you can combine orders - maybe in your sewing groups people are interested? I can mail ALOT of buttons for that prize. :-)

Thanks again for playing along! :-)

Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day

I know I am posting this early ... but I figured rather too early than too late ... :-)

So finally it is here again - the Giveaway Day!
As you read this I am probably sitting comfortably and checking out all the other awesome blogs and giveaways. :-)
I have been waiting and looking forward to this for quite some time.

So ... as I know that you have many more blogs to visit I make it really short and easy this time.

What can you win?

A set of costum-made buttons made with love by ... ME. Of course. :-)

You choose the design or color or whatever you wanna choose. And I make them.
The set will include four buttons.

They could look like these ....

but they could also look totally different.
Up to you!
Well, and me of course ... ;-)

If you are curious and wanna see more buttons I have made - or even wanna place an order - you can

check out my store CUTELICIOUS

you can look at my BUTTON PHOTOS on flickr

or you can just email me: cutelicious-shop [at] web [dot] de

What do you have to do to win?

Easy - just leave a comment telling me what buttons you would like to have.

I did not want to add this at first ... but here it goes:
If you just tell me "the buttons are nice" or "I wanna win them" it will not count for the giveaway!
I think it is only fair to those people that actually read the post and entered! If it makes you feel any better of course you can change your mind if you actually win. I just would like you to think just for a minute about what buttons you would really love to have ... and maybe I get some new ideas out of this, too! ;-)

Could be some you saw in my shop or on my blog ... or just any other that come to mind ... maybe something you have been looking for but could never find ...

I will draw a winner with the help of random.org.
One entry per person!
If there are more  than 100 comments I will draw a second winner.
I leave the giveaway open until the 26th of May (German time).
EVERYONE around the world can enter!

You do not have to be a follower of my blog - but of course if you like what you see you are more than welcome to become one! :-)

And when you are done commenting hop on over to

to check out all the other giveaway goodness!!!

Good luck and have fun!

Oh, and if by any chance you are German ... check out my German blog Cutelicious ... :-)

TWO WINNERS

Random.org has spoken.

The buttons will go to commenter number 36

JESSICA from Quilty Habit

And the tiny Christmastree sewing pin will go to commenter number 56

I love her blog, btw. But I guess I have mentioned that before ... ;-)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
I will be sending both of you an email.

And to all others - thank you so much for playing along!!! It was so much fun reading all your comments! And thanks for all the links. I am trying to answer at least all the comments that were not "no-reply" comments and I am putting the list of tutorials and patterns together.
I am not sure how long it will take me though as I am trying to make all the Christmas presents for my kids and so far I have finished ... ONE!
*shriek*

I have started almost all of them though ... but still ... LOTS to do.
But I am planning hoping on being able to publish the list sometime during the week after Christmas.
I guess noone has enough time to read through a list with

105 free tutorials and patterns
*wow*

before Christmas anyway ...
RIGHT?

So come back to check it out!

P.S. Anyone can tell me how I get blogger to write numbers in front of each comment? You know, like a numbered list ...? Would be REALLY helpful for giveaways ....

Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day

Welcome my lovely readers and also welcome to all of you new ones coming from

I am SOOOOOO excited to be part of this!

(Especially since I almost missed it.)

I will try to make it short as you guys probably have many more blogs to visit.
So here is the deal.

You can win some Christmas tree buttons handmade by me:

You will win a set of four buttons.
You can choose whether you would like them light green or dark green or a mix.

If there is more than 100 commenters I will give away one of my Christmas tree sewing pins as well.

Just in case you are wondering ... those are regular sewing pins. The flower pot that I used to make a pincushion is REALLY tiny!!!!

Just so you can see the size ... I do realize that most of you guys use inch and this is centimetres. Sorry, but it was the only photo I got.

Now that you know what you can win - here is HOW you can win:

To be in the draw all you have to do is comment below this post with
a link to your favourite free sewing pattern or tutorial.

Edited:
Sorry - as pointed out correctly by one commenter not everyone might sew ...
If you do not sew you are welcome to just leave a link to a free crochet or knitting pattern! :-)

It can be anything!
Even from your own site! Or especially from your own site! ;-)

Okay, I know that is more effort than just writing "Count me in" - but wait!
Here comes the good part:
At least I figured it would be good!
I will put together a post with all the links to free patterns and tutorials!
So if you come back in a week or two you will have a collection of a whole bunch of free sewing stuff right at your finger tips!
I figured this way we are all winners, right?!
*insert-nodding-here*

If you do add a link from your own blog/site would you please let me know whether I am allowed to use a picture from your blog when adding your link to the post?

One comment per person only!
All double comments or comments that do just say "Count me in" or something similar ;-) will be deleted.
(Sorry to be the meany. But it is just fair to the people that actually read my post and do put up a link.)

You are of course welcome to follow me as well if you like what you see on my blog.
I will however not push you into doing it ... so even if you just want to play along for this giveaway you are welcome!
The party is open to all!

Please make sure that I have a way to contact you!!!
If you are a no-reply commenter or do not have a blog please leave an email-address where I will be able to reach you!

The giveaway is open until the 17th of December.
The winner(s) will be drawn randomly.
I will of course ship internationally - so everyone can join in!
(The prices will be mailed out at the 20th if I have your mailing address until then.)

And just in case that there are some German bloggers stopping by ... feel welcome to check out my German blog

And now hop on to all the other giveaways on Sew Mama Sew

Owls and magpies flying to Australia

Finally they are done!

Will put a coat of varnish on them at the weekend ...

... and then they will fly off to a new home ....

... far far away ...

I hope they will have a good trip!
:-)

I also finally took the time to draw a new second winner - as the one I drew never responded to my emails.
So the new second winner is number 111

and that is

JOHANNA

I actually DID COUNT to check whether that is really number 111!
It is.
And that is really strange because - I know her!
She is my first costumer in my new dawanda-shop!
And I just finished her order.
Sometimes randomness is just a really weird thing, isn't it?

Off to write her a surprise-email ...

The winnder of the Fall into Fall Quilters Bloggers Giveaway

I was BLOWN away by the number of people that commented.
And such lovely comments, too!!!
Thank you guys so so much!

I would have loved to give buttons to each one of you. Your ideas were AMAZING!
I unfortunately do not have the time to make over 100 sets of buttons though ... and postage probably would ruin me ... :-/
But as a little comfort ... I am definitely going to do a Christmas giveaway!
So you will have another chance!
And ... I am kinda undecided ... would you guys like another giveaway before Christmas?
I kinda feel there haven been so many giveaways going on ... but maybe that is just me ... ?
I am really not sure ...

Anyway, I decided for now instead of giving away just one set of custom-made buttons I will give away two! How does that sound?

For the first winner I chose

Little Cooties

Congratulations!!!

*insert some excited gasping from winner here*

She wrote in her comment:

how gorgeous! I would LOVE to have some owl buttons, or some other kind of bird.... magpie (seeing as I'm in australia)
thanks for the opportunity! :)

Okay - I will be in touch shortly to discuss what I am gonna make ....

Are you curious why I chose this comment?
Well, baby boy LOVES magpies! We have spent all summer watching them ... there has been a nest nearby. They are still around in the neighbourhood and whenever we see some - or hear some, they are quite noisy - little man seems really happy! He seems to really like them! And whenever I see them it makes me think of all the mornings and evenings I was out in our garden sitting on a chair drinking tea and holding little man - who would actually for ONCE sit still and just watch the birds hop around in the surrounding trees.
I do not really know what they did but the young magpies - about five - seemed to play catch. It was really enjoyable! We would do this EVERY day!
So when I read this comment I knew I wanted to try to make magpies. I am not sure whether I will succeed ... so maybe it will be owls instead ... :-) But I really want to try!
Okay, now the second winner. Because I felt a bit bad somehow for choosing the first winner myself - even though I did say so right from the beginning - I did let the random number generator choose the second winner.

The random number was 165 which is

DOT

Congratulations!!!!

*more excited gasping here*

She wrote:

Well, flutes would probably be a little tricky, although I would LOVE those--so how about different colors/breeds of chickens? Roosters, hens, chicks, the sky's the limit! Now I want an egg sandwich...excuse me...

Dot
Now I too want an egg sandwich ...
I will be in touch to make some flutes or chickens! :-) Sounds fun to make.

I have to tell you I was quite relieved that the random number generator did not choose the ferrets ... or gnomes ... As much as I love the idea I would have no idea how to make them!

Oh, and if you want to check out how I am doing with magpies and owls and flutes and chicks ... I will share here. :-)

So, I am off to bed and leave you with the good news. :-)
Hope many of you win great stuff on all the other giveaways of the Fall into Fall Quilter Bloggers Giveaway.
And would of course love to see you again around here ...

Oh, and for all those who asked whether I am selling - which really made me SO happy you would not believe - there will be some news soon on my blog, too ...

The winner of the cute Sleepy Cat Tea Cozy is ...

Pippirose

(Number 11 as chosen by the random number generator.)

CONGRATULATIONS!

I will be in touch soon!

And to all of you who have entered - thank you SO much for all those lovely birthday comments!
It was so awefully nice to read them all!
And thanks so much to ELLIE from Bustle and Sew to give away the cute cozy and to write such a lovely guest post!
And thanks for making people sending me birthday wishes. ;-)
It was great!

I had the sweetest birthday celebrating with my kids, my hubby, and one of my sisters.
I got cake - even with candles on top! Love that!
I even got flowers.
(From my sister. Hubby is not much of a flower giver.)
I got beautiful presents! Seriously!
Among others I got a gift coupon to a baking supply specialty store! WOW! So I finally will get that candy thermometer and the fudge making can start! :-D
I got a bunch of books. I LOVE books!
I sometimes seriously think I should have become a librarian! :-)
One is a lovely sewing book about machine embroidery. I was never keen on machine embroidering but this book looks so fun! And I figured it might be good practise for quilting. Hoping that later today I finally can try something out ... very excited and a bit anxious at the same time.
I got to go to a huge craft trade show  the next day - which I will be writing a blog post about.
Hubby took care of the kids all day and I had the whole day off! I have not had a whole day off eversince little man was born - so almost a year. Felt weird at first - but time was flying by at the craft trade show! Was so great. You will see.

For the followers of the tea lovers roundup - it was SO much fun featuring so many lovely projects!
I would have had MANY MANY more to feature ... but I ran out of time.
I was thinking about just extending the whole featuring ... but then I did not do that. It did take up alot of time and also I was quite happy to start some new projects ... and if I would have kept going I probably would have never stopped! ;-)
So I decided I will put all the other links I have saved into one big post so you can all enjoy it. There are MANY links and it will take me a bit to get the post together. Also if you come across some tea-project you are welcome to still send me links - I will put them into the link list. (Even if you happen to read this in half a year or later ... ) ;-)
And who knows - maybe I will do this featuring again next year for my birthday ... it really was so much fun!

I have got SO many posts to write and emails to answer ... please bear with me ... :-)

Fall into Fall Quilters Bloggers Giveaway - Win Buttons!

Edited:
If you wanna know who won read THIS POST.

***

FINALLY!

While I am enjoying myself at a huge craft trade show at the moment - my birthday treat for myself ;-) - you will be able to win

ONE SET OF CUSTOM MADE BUTTONS!

You might have seen the bee buttons I made

And when making the bees I was playing around a bit ... and suddenly there were birds ... ;-)

And a crown!

After I had done those I had to try other ones ... it seems to be quite addicting.

Cute Toadstools

Just  some round buttons ... I was experimenting a bit ...

Of course ... teacups! :-)

Leaves ...

Oh, and I love the hedgehog.

Okay, if you would like me to make some buttons for you here is how it works:

You can enter the giveaway by telling me in a comment what buttons you would like me to make for you! Yes, kinda like a "Make a wish"-thing!
One comment per person!

I will select one winner who will get a set (probably around 6) of their wish-buttons.
I will simply select whichever idea/ wish tickles or tempts me most! :-)
If I can not decide between several I will select the winner between them randomly.
You can write down exactly what you want or give me some kind of thoughts or themes. But writing down "fall" for example would be a bit too broad ...

The winner will be chosen at the 15th of October. You can comment until then. The giveaway is open worldwide!
Please make sure that I have an email-address where I can reach you.

Good luck!

And while you are here ... why not enter the
Bustle and Sew Sleepy Cat tea cozy giveaway
here on my blog.
Last day to enter is October, the 9th.

Do not forget to  check out all the other Fall into Fall Quilters Bloggers giveaways!

And btw, you do not have to follow my blog to enter - but of course I would love if you did ... ;-)
So I am telling you that I will do another giveaway at around Christmas time ... so if you do not want to miss that consider becoming a stalker ;-)

P.S. Sorry, the photos are not the best. I really had to rush to get it all done in time for the giveaway ... Once things quieten down and I make more buttons I will try to take better photos of them.

Giveaway and Guestpost by Ellie from Bustle & Sew

Today I have a very special treat for you guys.
Ellie from Bustle & Sew - who lives in England, the tea-drinking country - will do a guestpost today.
So I do not actually have to write alot. :-)
But I do want to show you all her tea-related goodness!

Photo from Bustle and Sew
Is this cat teacozy cute or what? I so love this one!
And you can download a free pdf with a tutorial on how to make it.

Photo from Bustle and Sew
And if you are into embroidery you can get this free pattern on her blog.

I am also totally in love with this dormouse teacozy that she knitted.
She told me that this is from an old Alan Dart knitting pattern.
Wish I could get my hands on it ... for this I would even learn how to be better at knitting.
This is TOO CUTE!

Photo from Bustle and Sew

And another adorable tea cozy.
You can download the free pattern on her blog (just scroll all the way down).

There is loads of more cute stuff on her blog. And let me tell you something else - she also has a newsletter you can sign up for.
I tend to sign up for quite many newsletters - and usually cancel them again after a while.
This one is different. It does not feel like a newsletter but rather like a letter from a friend. I am always excited when it reaches me. I love reading it! And of course I also love all the free goodies in there. Yes, as a subscriber you get extra goodies! So if you are into sewing, appliquing, embroidering, crocheting ... then you you will love it!

So have fun with the guestpost and giveaway ... and hop on over to her blog and check it out. You will not regret it!

Hi everyone … my name’s Ellie from Bustle & Sew.

I’m really excited to be rounding off the Tea Lover’s month here on MuffinsnMore especially as today is Ms Muffin’s birthday! Yes, today she will be enjoying her very own birthday tea, complete with cake, candles, little sandwiches and wobbly jellies.

Then, at any proper birthday celebration, after the tea come the party games. I particularly used to enjoy “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” – maybe a taste of future things to come as now I spend a lot of time pinning tails, and other bits of fabric onto things I’m making.

If anyone here does read my blog (www.bustleandsew.blogspot.com) you’ll know that I live in Devon, England way out in the countryside near the sea in an old farmhouse with my Newfoundland dog Ben. Here in England we’re great tea drinkers of course and Ben and I both agree that there’s nothing better than coming home to a nice cup of tea after a long, and sometimes chilly, walk in the countryside. He enjoys his cuppa weak and milky, whilst I prefer a good strong brew from my favourite tea pot (the one with little rabbits on!)

I know that Ms Muffin has featured some of my tea-related patterns and tutorials. On Bustle & Sew you can find the free downloads and other nice things too.

Now for the party games. This one’s called “Leave a Birthday Comment” and it goes as follows: As it’s Ms Muffin’s birthday please leave a comment below wishing her a happy birthday and telling us all what was the best birthday present you ever received.

Everyone who does this will be entered into a free draw to win a mini Sleepy Cat tea cosy – just the right size to fit over a 2 cup pot – perfect bliss!!

Last day to enter is October, the 9th. The winner will be selected randomly. The giveaway is open worldwide.

Good Luck!

Fall into Fall Quilters Bloggers Giveaway

Have you heard of it? No?
Then you HAVE to go HERE and check it out!

I actually came across it on Sweet P Quilting and Creations.

Basically there are MANY MANY bloggers and I think businesses, too, that are going to have a giveaway on October the 1st. And it is all quilting/ fabric related. How does that sound?

I know I know ... I said there is not going to be a giveaway for my birthday ... I actually had told myself (and hubby) that I would not do another giveaway until Christmas or until I have 100 followers ...
But how can I pass this one up? It is just too good!!!!
And I am almost at 100 followers ... so, maybe I even will make it until the 1st that way I do not have to find excuses why I joined in ... ;-)

So, YES, come back at the 1st of October to my blog to find a
GIVEAWAY!
And of course will have to go to this site to check out all the other giveaways going on. And if you want to, you can still join and hold your own giveaway, too!

How much fun!

GIVEAWAY and small guestpost by Tara from SEWTARA

Introducing Tara from SEWTARA! Say "hi" to her and go visit her blog!!! You will not regret it!

***

Hi I'm Tara and along with being addicted to tea I seem to have become addicted to creating lately.  I started my blog almost a year ago while I was still on maternity leave as a way to get myself crafting again.  Now it's grown past a hobby into a little business and I love it.  The tricky part is balancing creating, selling, blogging, being a mom and my teaching job!  But since they're all things I love I'm making it work.

****

Tara was so kind to offer to give away one of her tea cozies. I am not sure which one ... but believe me all are adorable!!!

Edited: Tara just contacted me and guess what? You get to choose the tea cozy you want!!! How lovely is that?
Check them out:

Is this cute or what?

And this one is so fun! Just do not show it to your boss! ;-)

And another cutie!
