Chili

Our chili peppers are finally blooming. We had them in pots in the garden the whole summer but now we put them inside cause it is too cold at night. I hope they will develop fruit even though they are inside.

Mmh, banana-chocolate cookies

Sunday! I love Sundays! (And of course Saturdays.) And to celebrate the day I made some cookies. I had some really ripe bananas left and was looking for a way to use them. On the web I found the recipe for these cookies. I put in a bit too much banana, but I also forgot to take them out of the oven on time - and they turned out just great! A little bit crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle! Mmh .... perfect with a glass of milk.




I also wanted to introduce a few new friends. I started to chrochet finger puppets a while ago and made a dog and a pig. I thought that they look really cute and wanted to make some more. Today I made a dragon! I really like making those finger puppets. It's a bit of a challenge since they are so small and finishing off all the threads pretty much takes up most the time. But the advantage is that they are finished really fast! And you get to use up remains of yarn you have laying around. You can easily make a puppet in one evening. I think I am going to make a couple more ... maybe a frog and a cow ...


UPDATE:
For the fingerpuppets I used free patterns. This is where I got the pattern for the pig and the dog from (was also planning on making a cow ...) and this is where I found the pattern for the dragon. If you look here you can even find many more patterns. I just chose these, cause I liked them best.

Finally!

So I finally decided to start my own blog! I was playing with the idea since years now ... and will see how far I get with it ... :-)
Basically I want to use it as a kind of collection of ideas and things I like. And there are many things in my life that I like. :-)
Most of all I love my daughter (she is 3 now)! And also the father of my daughter ;-) and our dog. When I am not working the three keep me rather busy. When I have some free time left I also love:

knitting - up until now only socks though

taking photos, organizing photos, looking at photos ...

baking - especially muffins
cooking - for example marmelade and jams

other countries and cultures ... and their food :-)

taking baths
playing games (yeah, I do enjoy traditional board games)
reading and writing emails
looking at interesting stuff on the internet
ebay - totally addicted :-(
listening to music
candles
eating cookies with a glass of cold milk! :-)
cycling
doing pilates - just learning it
would love to learn yoga

...

So basically it's rather hard for me to get bored! Unfortunately I am quite chaotic - I never do one project at a time but start many different things ... and of course sometimes loose track ... Hope this blog helps me to keep track of all my ideas and projects and things I wanna do ...
