Guestpost by Marysia from BajuBaju and GIVEAWAY!

Hi,

My name is Marysia of Baju Baju. I’m mother to 5 years old girl and 3 years old boy and I’m happily married to their father. The first 25 years of my life I’ve spend in Poland and the other 9 in the Netherlands. Besides being for my family I work as a Study Director at a Contract Research Laboratory. And after being a mother and worker in the daytime, in the evenings I turn to a crafter… I love to sew, play with salt dough, crotchet, knit etc, etc. and I really regret that the day is not made of chewing gum so I could stretch it a bit (or rather a lot). Though I suffer from the carpal tunnel syndrome I can not sit and do not have my hands busy with some work.

When Ms Muffin asked me whether I can be a guest blogger in her September project, I immediately became enthusiastic.

Why?

First, I love September because it is a beautiful month that combines summer warmth with the melancholy of the autumn. It has so fantastic warm light and amazing colours.

Moreover, I got married in September and it is a month of my hubby birthday.

Second, I love tea! I drink tea all day long. In my kitchen a big pot is always filled with this beverage. I love to visit tea shops, I admire china bone tea cups, I’m crazy about tea pots. And I think that if you will look at my projects you will believe that I tell the true.

My very first work related to tea was this set of coasters. I made for an internet friend. It was actually the first sewing work I’ve done and honestly, I really like it!

I’ve promised myself to make something like that for myself but until now I did not managed ...

Not so long later I sewn kind of tea pot pillow which stays now on the windowsill in my kitchen.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I’m big fan of PatchworkPottery and of her patchwork pottery :-)
I like it so much that I tried to make something similar myself. First I made this mug:

Not too long after I made a whole tea set.

My children love it. It is of a natural size but totally unbreakable so they can do with it whatever they want.

Some time ago I designed a needlebook in a shape of the tea pot and lots of peoples became very enthusiastic about. Some examples you can see in this set.

I thought that more peoples would like to have such needlebook and I made a tutorial that can be bought on my blog (under pdf tutorials link).

And very recently I made another tutorial, this time for a tea cup pincushion.

If you want to have it you can buy it at my blog, or you can try to win it here as I decide to give away one copy.
All you have to do is to leave a comment under this post until

the 20th of September

with a clear statement that you want to have it.
Ms Muffin will draw the winner and I will mail it to him/her.
(Please make sure that you leave a way to contact you - either via email or blogger.)

I’ve also made project that tea or tea cup are only part of. One is a tea (or rather cacao) cup on my daughter pyjama bag

And another on an interactive charity quilt I’m making together with other peoples. If you are interested in this project have a look here.

Another more project I really like is a tea pot cosy I made for my friends.

Ok, enough about sewing.

At the beginning I mentioned that I like salt dough so here are my works related to tea.

I’m pretty sure that I managed to convince you that I love tea; I only hope that I did not bore you too much...

If you want to see another works of mine you are very welcome to have look at my

I’m really looking forward to see other posts in the September project!

Greetings from the Netherlands!

Marysia

I'm in love with your tea cup pincushion pattern - and ALL of your tea-themed crafts, for that matter! I'd have to make it for myself, since I'm the only tea lover I know who sews...it's been awhile since I made something just for me. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
