Hello and welcome to my blog Muffins and more. I hope you enjoy your stay and come back often! :-)

And this is me. I love this photo. But just in case you think "Wow" - relax!!!! This is me on my wedding day. I do not - unfortunately - look like that every day. But as my blog to me is my "happy place" where I like to surround myself with nice things I like to keep this photo of me here rather than one where I look more like a "real person". I hope that is alright with you.

My blog name is Ms Muffin  - because I love muffins and am pretty good at making them. At least that's what my husband tells me. He may be biased though.

I am married and I live with my husband, our dog, and our two kids in Germany. Because some people seem to be confused about that - I am German. But I like to blog in English and love the way this has enabled me to become friends and meet so many people from around the world!

 

I actually started this blog to have a place where I could collect and save all the creative things I make. And I LOVE MAKING things! Pretty much every kind of making ... sewing, crocheting, knitting, crafting and crafting with my kids, decorating, and of course baking and cake decorating ... I love taking photos, too, however I have to learn and practise a lot more. Well, you gotta have goals right. Where is the fun if you are good at everything right from the beginning? ;-)

This blog has become much more to me than just a collection of my crafty adventures. To me it is a way not just to save - but to share ideas. To exchange with others. Chat and even become friends! It is amazing and fascinating to meet all you creative souls out there!

If you are curious what I am like ... apart from the whole crafting stuff I mean ... well ... 

I guess I am a strange person. In a good way though! :-)

I am pretty chaotic - but I love to organize! I know this sounds like it doesn't go together! But that really is how I am!

I love writing lists! I really do.
*

I always have more than one projects going on. It somehow is physically impossible to me to not have more than one thing I am doing.
*

I am - unfortunately - very perfectionistic. If I do something I want to do it right - 110 percent. But my kids are doing a good job of teaching me that perfectionism is overrated. ;-) I am still learning ...
*

I love books. I could spend hours in libraries. An afternoon in a library sounds like fun to me.
*

I love tea. My favourite is black tea. A good day can't start without a cup of tea. That's one reason why I enjoyed living in Britain so much - free tea everywhere! :-) To me that's like heaven.
Even though black tea is the best I also love green tea and spiced tea/ chai.

Btw, I love all projects that have to do with tea cups or tea pots. So if you know of any ... let me know! :-)

I love the internet. Well, guess you figured that. :-)

I love writing - well, or rather typing. I learned how to type quickly with a kid's game while being in the US! And that was one of the most useful things I ever learned in life! :-) By now I type quicker than I write by hand.

If I have the choice I usually rather write an email than call someone on the phone.

I love when it rains. I love the sound of the rain at the window. It makes me happy ... especially when I have a cup of tea or am snuggled up in bed with a good book.

I do not own a TV. But I LOVE "Friends". I own all the series on DVD. :-)

I love nature! I rather live in a small than in a big city!

I love the woods. A walk through the woods calms me and gives me peace!

I do not like cars. And I do not like driving cars. Well, to be completely honest - I would like driving cars once in a while, if there would be no other cars on the road and if driving would not include parking!

I love cycling!
*

I do not like shopping. I do not like buying shoes, clothes, and/or handbags. I simply never find what I like - and if I do it is either not in my price range and/ or not in my size. Frustrating!
*

I love shopping for books, fabric, craft supplies, baking supplies - I even love hardware stores.

I love hot baths.
*

I would love to have a fireplace. Oh, but first I would love to have my own craft room - which I would call studio. Just cause it sounds so cool!
 *

I prefer the sea to the mountains.
*

I can not stand it when it is really really hot. I would rather visit Scandinavia than Spain - even though I would like to visit pretty much anywhere.

I love chocolate!
*

I love eating cold pizza with a glass of cold milk. Judging by the reaction people who saw that gave me apperently that is something odd ...

I also love chocolate-chip cookies with milk. I am not THAT odd! :-)

I love to tavel and dream of living abroad for a bit in different countries when I am older - like when the kids are grown.

I like dreaming in general. I find it sad when people do not have dreams at all. To me live would not be worth living if I would not have dreams.
