One block at a time ...

Here are four more blocks I finished for the textured baby quilt I am working on. These are the ones where the circle applique actually did work!

In the photo above just regular black cotton fabric that I appliqued with red embroidery thread.

In this picture the red circle is some kinda silky fabric - it's not silk though - which feels very smooth and kinda cool to the touch.

Some pinkish cotton velvet. I think little man likes these - he already tried to eat them. :-)

Striped corduroy. And if you are wondering - yes, I do realize that the circles are not centered. They are not supposed to be. :-)
I am actually quite curious what I will do next ...

  1. I think you will love this blanket all the more because it took you longer to make it. I am excited to see the finished product.

  2. I will love to see this finished! Are you going to do all the blocks white, or some pattern to the background?

  3. I have some cut out that are blue. But to be honest I find it rather hard to come up with ideas that will look good on those. I was thinking to have a few black ones too, as my son really loves contrasts, but am not too sure yet. I also have not yet decided whether I will add a few patterned squares ... might just depend on how many designs for non-patterned squares I can come up with ... :-)
