Here are four more blocks I finished for the textured baby quilt I am working on. These are the ones where the circle applique actually did work!
In the photo above just regular black cotton fabric that I appliqued with red embroidery thread.
In this picture the red circle is some kinda silky fabric - it's not silk though - which feels very smooth and kinda cool to the touch.
Some pinkish cotton velvet. I think little man likes these - he already tried to eat them. :-)
Striped corduroy. And if you are wondering - yes, I do realize that the circles are not centered. They are not supposed to be. :-)
I am actually quite curious what I will do next ...
I think you will love this blanket all the more because it took you longer to make it. I am excited to see the finished product.
ReplyDeleteI will love to see this finished! Are you going to do all the blocks white, or some pattern to the background?
ReplyDeleteI have some cut out that are blue. But to be honest I find it rather hard to come up with ideas that will look good on those. I was thinking to have a few black ones too, as my son really loves contrasts, but am not too sure yet. I also have not yet decided whether I will add a few patterned squares ... might just depend on how many designs for non-patterned squares I can come up with ... :-)
