PROJECT 41: Cute Felt Cup Cozy

I found a super-easy way to make a cup cozy for to-go cups on the German blog Ohhh...Mhhh...
 

Just cut - sew together (even by hand if you like) - slip cup into it ... 
If you want to you can add some neat embroidery at the front. 

I am wondering whether it would be hard to adapt this for regular cups ....
